Are you interested in possibly using IRS Direct File?

The IRS is piloting a new service that will allow some people to file their taxes online directly with the IRS for free!

For this first year, Direct File will be open to people in twelve states: Arizona, California, Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming

Direct File will support most simple returns, and key credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit. It won’t include self-employment income, business expenses, itemized deductions, and some other more complex tax situations
