The vast majority of people in many states want Medicare for All — but states face barriers to actually creating and implementing their own universal health care systems.
The State-Based Universal Health Care Act of 2023 (HR 6270) would remove barriers to state-based health care systems, hold them to a high standard, and allow them to benefit from government support.
