Call Congress: Stop warrantless surveillance of Americans

Congress is voting soon on whether or not to extend Section 702, part of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) that has been abused by national security authorities to search through phone calls, text messages, and emails of Americans without a warrant.

We need to pressure both the House and Senate to oppose extending Section 702 and stop national security authorities from violating Americans’ constitutional rights!

Call your members of Congress and urge them to vote against extending Section 702:

Call (202) 224-3121 to reach Congress, and ask to be connected to one of your members of Congress.

You’ll need to call a total of three times to speak to both senators and your representative.

Once you reach their office, here’s what you could say:

"Hello, my name is ______ and I live in _____, STATE.

I’m calling because I want you to side with the Constitution and oppose warrantless surveillance of Americans. I know Congress is trying to extend Section 702, which has been abused by national security agencies to spy on Americans — even though the 4th Amendment is supposed to protect us. Please oppose any “clean” extension of Section 702 and protect my constitutional rights.

Thank you for your time."
