Public Citizen Co-Presidents Lisa Gilbert and Robert Weissman should be appointed to Donald Trump’s so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” (a.k.a. DOGE).

As currently constituted, your so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” is actually deficient in at least two major ways. First, you have appointed exactly nobody who represents everyday consumers and the public interest (as opposed to the wishes of billionaires and Big Business). Second, and as a result of the first deficiency, DOGE is in violation of the Federal Advisory Committee Act. You can address both of these deficiencies by appointing Public Citizen Co-Presidents Lisa Gilbert and Robert Weissman to the committee right away.
