Call Congress: Speak out to protect global health funding

With 83% of USAID’s programs now eliminated, we are facing a full-scale humanitarian crisis. Even programs that Rubio and others claimed would be spared — like emergency nutrition for severely malnourished children — have received termination notices.

Call your members of Congress. Urge them to hold Trump and DOGE accountable and restore global health funding.

Call (202) 224-3121 to reach the Capitol Switchboard and ask to speak to one of your members of Congress. You can only call one at a time, so you’ll need to call a total of three times if you want to reach your representative and both senators.

Once you’re connected to their office staff, here’s what you could say:

“My name is ______ and I live in ______, STATE.

I’m calling because I support the important humanitarian work of USAID. The agency only uses a tiny fraction of the federal budget, but it manages to help millions of people across the world who suffer from malaria, AIDS, polio, malnourishment, and more.

The Trump administration has slashed 83% of USAID programs, gutting life-saving health initiatives that Congress already approved. Please push the Trump Administration to restore these essential programs. Thank you for your time.”

(Please note: If one or all of your members of Congress is not taking calls at this time, you could call their local office or send a message through their website.)
