Two bills – HB 4313 and HB 4314 – that would place crushing restrictions on local governments trying to address environmental issues have been sent to the House Committee on Calendars. It’s up to that committee to decide whether these bills go to the House floor for a vote.
HB 4313 would prohibit cities from using any funds – even grants and donations – for environmental projects. HB 4314 would prevent local governments from including environmental criteria when making purchasing decisions.
Email the House Committee on Calendars now and ask that they decline to put HB 4313 or 4314 on the House floor calendar.
