Chubb Insurance — a major multinational insurance company — just ruled out providing coverage to the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP).
The pipeline can’t be built without insurance, and every insurance company that rules out the project makes it less likely that this pipeline will see the light of day.
So we need to keep pushing. AIG, Liberty Mutual, and Tokio Marine have still not ruled out providing coverage for EACOP.
