Call (202) 224-3121 to reach the Capitol Switchboard and ask to speak to your senators. You'll need to call this number twice to reach both of them.
Once you’re connected to their office staff, here’s what you could say:
“My name is ______ and I live in ______, STATE.
I’m calling to ask you to oppose the tax and budget bill that the Senate could vote on soon.
This bill would cause harm to our community: It gives massive tax cuts to CEOs while weakening the Clean Air Act, padding the pockets of Pentagon contractors, and slashing Medicaid coverage.
No bill that cuts essential programs while giving tax cuts to big companies and the wealthiest Americans is in our community's best interest. Please vote *NO* when it comes to the floor. Thank you for your time.”
(Please note: If your senator is not taking calls at this time, you could call their local office or send a message through their website.)
