Tell your senators: Ban insider stock trading by members of Congress and the President

Whether it’s dumping stock in early 2020 after a briefing on the pandemic or buying stock this spring right after Trump signaled a tariff pause was coming, Congress proves again and again that they can’t be trusted to avoid the appearance of conflicts of interest while trading stocks.

There’s a bipartisan bill in the Senate right now (the HONEST Act, S.1498) that would ban stock trading by members of Congress and the President — we need to keep pushing to build support and get it across the finish line.
