Congress Must Force Vought Out

A group of Democratic senators has called for Vought to resign, noting: “Vought’s weaponization of the federal government and disregard for the rule of law threatens the very checks and balances that make our system of government work.”

To Every Member of Congress

Russell Vought is circumventing the law and the role of Congress as a coequal branch of the federal government. Every senator and representative, regardless of party, should resent what Vought is doing to undercut Congress’s own power. For the sake of preserving the House and Senate as viable enterprises — and for the sake of the American people you are supposed to represent — we are calling on every member of Congress to do everything in your power to fight Vought and force him out of office.
