Representatives in Congress Must Rein In DHS, ICE, CBP

After Renee Good and Alex Pretti were killed in Minneapolis, some members of Congress — even some Republicans — are calling for reforms before they vote on funding for DHS and other rogue agencies.

To Every Member of the United States House of Representatives

Congress must use its power as a coequal branch of the federal government to rein in the Department of Homeland Security, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection.

1. Force ICE and CBP to withdraw from Minneapolis, to end all reckless operations throughout Minnesota, and to stop politicized mass surges.

2. Require judicial warrants for all arrests and home invasions.

3. Prohibit DHS from using any available funding for the detention of children and families.

4. Demand full cooperation with state and local authorities investigating the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
