Big Oil companies are lobbying Congress for total immunity from any laws or lawsuits that could hold them accountable for fueling the climate crisis and lying about it.

No industry should be above the law — especially Big Oil. I’m urging you to protect the right of communities to hold corporations accountable and oppose any proposal to grant legal immunity to Big Oil companies.

This issue is about affordability, fairness, and accountability. Our communities are paying the price for climate disasters while the polluters that caused the problem and lied about it stick us with the bill and pay nothing. A legal shield for Big Oil would force all the costs of climate change onto U.S. taxpayers and set a harmful precedent that puts corporations above communities.
