Expand Medicare Drug Price Negotiation

Expand Medicare Drug Price Negotiation

Big Pharma rips off Americans by charging us the highest prices in the world, draining public insurers, contributing to skyrocketing insurance rates, and forcing 4 in 10 Americans to ration their prescriptions.

We can cut drug prices in half (or even more!) by stopping Big Pharma from charging Americans more than people in other wealthy countries in Europe or Canada.

And we can do it by expanding and strengthening Medicare Drug Price Negotiation.

Add your name to tell Congress to stand up to Big Pharma and pass bold drug price reform:

To every member of Congress

America is in a prescription drug price crisis, but policymakers can help us save $150 billion annually and sharply reduce out-of-pocket costs for patients.

To address Big Pharma price gouging, you must:

1. Empower Medicare to negotiate prices on all brand name drugs, including newly-launched treatments, just like is done for the Veterans Health Administration

2. Establish in Medicare price negotiations that Big Pharma can’t charge more than the median price for the same drug in other wealthy countries

3. Make Medicare-negotiated prices available to everyone, including people who get their insurance through their employer or the private market

4. Lower Medicare’s $2,000 annual cap on patient out-of-pocket drug costs and extend it to patients with private insurance
